What our clients say
April was awesome! We had 22 independent audit structures that needed an overhaul. Through facilitated workshops, and conflict management we restructured the audit community into one cohesive stronger structure providing improved service delivery.
Later ,when faced with the mammoth task of unifying 22 separate financial operations into one best practice branch, Whole Systems came to my rescue. Through interactive workshops of 35 to 150 people we standardized the operations on best practices and built consensus and trust. Staff feedback was very positive e.g. “You gave us a voice, you listened, and we did it together – thank you”.
Change is not easy and Whole Systems helped us embrace it. Thanks go to April for the knowledge and skills to guide us to success. I cannot say enough good things about you.

April Boyington Wall was our guest speaker at our Annual General Meeting and spoke about “The heart of the issue around change: finding the path to make choices that are life –affirming”.
The audience warmed up to April immediately as they saw in April someone who was authentic and able to share some hard earned knowledge from her own experience. People can get restless during these occasions but the mood was quiet and contemplative as April talked about the journey of experiencing change. After the meeting everyone commented to me on how much they had enjoyed the talk.
I just remember how well she connected with the audience at the AGM.

It was a great pleasure to have Dr. Wall as the keynote speaker for our group of Communications professionals from the Ontario Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Though a well planned discussion about sharing information and learning from others’ successes, Dr. Wall communicated strong messages to all levels of employees in attendance. A more interactive approach was then used to initiate participation and group discussion on our topic. Staff from both ministries were enthusiastic about this event and the impact it had on our day to day work. Dr. Wall is a confident presenter, often using humour to put the audience at ease and to encourage them to be receptive to new and innovative ideas.

April Boyington Wall developed a unique leadership development program that addressed critical competencies while keeping individual personality styles in mind. She analyzed the underlying learning needs of our engineers and delivered a program that led to an expansion of hands on skills and emotional intelligence. As Program Manager in the Chang School at Ryerson University I first met April when The Wellesley Institute partnered with us to take ownership of a suite of one day workshops they created for the Non-Profit sector. April helped not only designing some of the workshops but she also facilitates them.
During the transition I found April to be very supportive. As a facilitator she brings both theoretical and practical experience into the classroom. Her flexibility, adaptability and genuine desire to create a positive learning experience for our students are a testament to her professionalism and work ethic. I am delighted to be working with April.

I met April when I enrolled in an Executive Leadership Training Program that she had developed for the not-for-profit sector leaders. In addition to developing and delivering this comprehensive leadership program, she followed it up with numerous coaching sessions that enabled me to effectively implement what I had learned in the program. I am so grateful to her for enabling me to become a better leader.
April, I could not have done it without you.

April is an accomplished “people developer”. Drawing on a wide range of schools of thoughts from organizational development, sociology and psychology, and visualization, artistic expression and meditations, April designed a very creative and inspiring 2-day leadership workshop for our recently constituted management team. This also provided the basis for ongoing personal coaching sessions. By incorporating group sessions with individual growth opportunities, the team has been able to excel and steer the organization forward towards its goals.
Thank you, April.

Dr. April Boyington Wall is a coach who brings a distinct understanding of the balance between support and challenge. Her intuitive sense of when I was pushing too hard or when I was distracted by the unimportant in relation to my objectives provided me with the much needed feedback that kept me on track for achieving my goals. She communicated clearly and effectively with me in a timely and professional manner that engendered the respect I needed to possess for the person coaching me. Her influence as my coach made the difference in achieving goals that I continue to benefit from today.

April Boyington Wall served as my comprehensive exam chair in 2005. I was impressed with her work ethic, feedback, and support. This lead to my choice to hire her as the chair of my dissertation committee (2006-2009). Her focus and dedication to her clients is valuable. She provided me with encouragement, relevant and timely feedback, and guidance. Her ongoing support and collaboration was an important factor in my success.
The dissertation process is fraught with indecision, angst, and stress. Having the guidance and wise counsel of someone of April’s caliber helps to minimize the negative aspects of the process and bring joy to the growth related to the process. I would highly recommend her services to any Ph.D. or Doctoral candidate beginning the dissertation journey.

April Boyington Wall served as chair of my dissertation committee (2006 – 2008). Through that time, I knew I could count on her to provide the counsel, guidance, advocacy, and support/encouragement to successfully navigate through to completion of my PhD. While I know she had dozens of other PhD candidates she was supporting at the same time, she made it feel like my work had high priority and was very quick and responsive. When I went through the dark times that all PhD candidates experience, she helped me keep perspective an on track. I am truly grateful to have had her alongside me throughout the journey.

April is an excellent mentor because she works with you, not for you–igniting a fire within you by asking challenging questions and leading you to find the answers. This approach allows you to see what you can achieve, and fosters ongoing success after she leaves.

Dr. Wall was my mentor, my Comprehensive Committee Chairman and Dissertation Committee Chairman during my PhD program (Organization and Management) at Capella University. I had been enrolled in the university for a number of years and my program progress had stalled severely. I was re-assigned to Dr. Wall and she immediately motivated me to get my program back on track and complete my comprehensive exams and dissertation in 1.5 years. She was phenomenal and I know without a doubt I would not have completed my PhD without her encouragement and guidance. She was my advocate in every way keeping me moving forward by helping me remain realistic and pragmatic through the process. Dr. Wall was committed to my success and believed in my ability to make it over the goal line. She was dependable and was very flexible in working with me. She would review my documents and information rapidly and provide expert feedback that allowed me to navigate through the requirements as painlessly as possible. She coordinated my various committee members and managed their and my expectations. Additionally Dr. Wall is truly a kind, compassionate professional who cares about those she works and interacts with every day.
